Members of Belarusian Christian Democracy, led by Zmicier Pimenau, took part in commemorating their ancestors on Dziady in Belgium.
Belarusians in Belgium visited the graves of Mikola Ravienski (composer of the music for the Belarusian national hymn "Mahutny Boža") in Leuven and of Janka Žučka, a member of the Rada of the Belarusian Democratic Republic.
Together with other Belarusians, BChD members tended the graves, restored the white-red-white colours on the burial sites and, of course, sang "Mahutny Boža".
Belarusians in Belgium also take part in commemorating other outstanding compatriots. A few years ago they installed a forged metal cross on the grave of Barys Kit, who is buried in Germany. In addition, the Belarusian community looks after a memorial to participants of the Sluck armed uprising in Mittenwald, Germany.
